As our project has matured, we are transitioning to local leadership in Nicaragua. We will continue to assist and provide guidance, but locals will manage the operations and major decisions.

Together with our partners in Nicaragua, Guias Unidos helped found Centro PUMA, which is now an education center featuring a community cafe with tour operations. The mission is still to support the community and environment through ecotourism and intercultural initiatives. You can still be involved by visiting the Centro and contacting the staff to volunteer or donate directly to the cause.

We will leave some of our legacy information on this site, including our video below about our mission, but our new site www.centropuma.com for further information and updates on the project.
